Yeah, I think they put it together one night - after we started doing
business together - they are a small op' but seem to know their stuff.

Basically the one2ones don't need to use a shielded UTP, they work fine
over CAT5e UTP just like Keith's (think we tested every product on the
market) we offer these as an option on our smaller houses (the houses
are star wired with Cat5e UTP) and they work fine for someone you wants
to watch and control SKY/DVD etc from another room.

It looks like their website pushes!!! the integrated system they sell -
and yes because there is no converter you need to use a shielded UTP -
from our experience we use FTP (which seems to be the german standard) -
its UTP with a foil shield and a drain wire - the patch panel etc have
are shielded as well - we use this on the larger houses and is sold as
an option to be installed when building - note: because its not a
balanced the electricians need to take care when installing e.g.6in away
from mains power etc - but its work fine. - The integrated system is the
Nexus system www.avnex.com <<a href="http://www.avnex.com/";>http://www.avnex.com/</a>> but
they seem to do
a better deal than dealing direct with Nexus.

Yes - they have been very helpful and have work very close with us to
get this into our developments - we have over 60 developments and have
the ball rolling in five so far. - We also use UTP to feed LANs and
telephones - saves us on phone points and coax etc - we push it as
'Future proof housing'

Anyway Keith - get the baby to bed, and get to work - Mmmmm - I'm one to
talk (a one year old and another one due in two weeks) - Sleepness
nights ahoy!!!!

Wow, that is one *torturous* website!

Did you manage to get better literature out of them, and did you buy
direct from them?

One thing that concerns me is they talk about using STP and FTP cable -
are you doing that, or does it work with UTP? S and F seem like a pain
rather than using U.
