Hi Tony,
IRDA is not dead and buried just yet. The datapath I am designing will be
capable of sending any digital signal from one end to the other. The
problem
with IRDA is that as yet, I am unable to RELIABLY capture the IRDA and get
a
reliable digital output.
I may well be able to offer IRDA as an upgrade option at a later date but
for now, the priority is to get normal IR launched as most equipment will
work with that and I NEED IR to control the switcher.
Keith

Nooooooo!!!!! IRDA could be soooooo useful!!! I don't think
you're the only one having probs with IRDA - when Creative Labs
released their Nomad Jukebox with IRDA, they promised a remote
control would follow 'shortly'. They didn't realise apparently
that IRDA was a bitch to get right, so we're still waiting :-(
If you do decide to ditch IRDA in order to appease the IR crowd,
is it likely you'd return to it again in the future????
What about bluetooth? :-]
