Hi Andrew,

You can run two or more receivers from one transmitter but they MUST be
daisy chained and all except The last receiver must have the termination
resistors removed (or not fitted in the first place!).

If the amp is located a long way from the TV, there is no way you will get
TV Tuner sound to the amp as the KAT would only be carrying its own audio
unless you had a second set of KAT5's.

Whatever you want to send can be done using KAT5 either with standard units
or custom built ones. The important thing is that you MUST put in enough
CAT5 cable to cope with everything.

If you have planned "x" cables to a point and you know you will
be having
"x" devices there then you should be running at least
"x+2" cables.

Keith

Subject: [KAT5] Best way to feed TV and audio

Keith

Another question for you around the KAT5 modules. I want to take the video
output from a KAT5 receiver into a TV (no problem), but I also want the
audio stereo signal from the KAT5 receiver to feed into a zone power amp
feeding the ceiling speakers. This might be a problem, as per the other
thread the KAT5 module will be near the TV, but the amp will be hidden
away.

What's the best way of getting the audio signal to the amp? I assume
through the use of two KAT5 receivers, both fed from the same (KAT5)
transmitter. One receiver near the TV, the other near the amp. Any
distance differences to worry about, and how do you get one KAT5
transmitter
to feed more than one receiver (or doesn't it mind?).

Best regards

Andrew
