Re: GFCI Bypass

Your treadmill probably builds up static electricity in the belt and then
arcs to the floor or the power circuits occasionally following through the
power circuit to ground. This would trip the GFCI detector. Why is it
plugged into a GFCI? Does it not have a 3 pin plug with ground?

I have a new treadmill. When I increase speed the GFCI receptacle trips,
turning off
power to the treadmill. Is there a safe way to bypass or install an outlet
that can
handle the increased speed on the treadmill?

Thanks,

Bob G.
