Re: One more Garage Door / X10 Question
I have four doors that I use a DS10a sensor
on.(http://www.automatedoutlet.com/search.php?mode=search ) I just replaced
the magnet switch with roller ball type switch
(http://www.mouser.com/search/Refine.aspx?Ne=1447464+254016&Ntt=*1072008ev*&Msb=0&Mkw=107-2008-ev&N=1323038attached
) to the top of the sensor and just stick it all on the inside of the door.
When the top section lays back, the switch closes, when it goes vertical, the
switch opens. You will need a way to "read" the DS10s, like a
W800RF(http://www.automatedoutlet.com/search.php?mode=search ) all code
receiver to receive the security type transmissions, but this set up works
very well for me. I have picture of it if you would like.
