OT: Coax tools

I bought one of the fancy compression crimping tools for use with the
PermaSeal connectors. But it did not come with much in the way of
instructions. I thought I had it figured out, but the connectors just pull
right off after being compressed.

There can't be any mystery to this, so my cable must be too small? (Insert
joke here)

Any advice appreciated.
