gate switch

I am looking for a switch that I can use to alert me through x-10 when it is
opened.  I have seen switches that make a loud sound, but I would like for
it to trip an x10 light.
I have tried to use an eagle eye but it picks up too much motion, like a
rabbit running through the back yard.
Any ideas?
