I have the same problem trying to get NX-8V2 program code back to default. =
 I purchased a home which has a NX-8V2 security system installed.  The inst=
aller is no longer in business and the Program Code has been changed from t=
he default.  I purchased an NX-588E and downloaded DL900 from Interlogix th=
inking I could re-load the firmware and get the codes back to default.  Usi=
ng an old laptop running Windows XP with SP3 I was able to install and run =
the programs without error.  However when I try to connect to the alarm pan=
el I get the error:  "Error Reading data from Module number 0.....83". I'm =
not at all familiar with alarm systems.  Can anyone give me any ideas?
