Clearing 'Alarm Memory' on NAPCO CCI-5=12

We have an older NAPCO CCI-5 panel in our home, installed in 1982. It still=
works fine, with one issue: the 'Alarm Memory' LED will not clear. Per the=
manual "... can only be shut off by resetting the panel.=20

This matter started recently when I installed a new 12v battery. The other =
LEDs (AC On, Armed, Protective Circuit) work as expected, both at the panel=
 and remotely.

I checked both fuses (they were okay). The only repair I tried was removing=
all power (battery and AC) and letting the unit sit. But, when power was r=
eapplied, the issue returned. Is there any silver bullet to make the 'Alar=
m Memory' LED behave properly? Thanks.
