xmitting SIA codes

To all:

It's getting to a point where customers are abandoning their land
lines in favor of a cell phone. When this occurs in a home that
contains an alarm system and that system sends SIA signals to a
central station - the transmissions to the CO end.

Rather than reconfigure the system for VOIP, router, computer, WIFI,
etc. I have been on the lookout for a cell phone with a built-in phone
jack, thereby enabling a connection from the alarm system via standard
two/four wire cable.

This type of cell phone (with built-in jack) would solve the
no-land-line issue.

The closest answer that I have found to meet this configuration is an
extra device that works with smart phones and bluetooth. An example
is:

There are several other manufacturers making similar devices that
allow landline or cordless phone connections to their device in
conjunction with bluetooth and cell phones.

The devices allow calls to be made from standard landline phones or
cordless base-station-type phones, and calls to the cell phone will
ring the landline phones as well as the cell phone simultaneously.

Has anyone experimented with these devices to see if the signals can
be transmitted to the central station receivers, and that the
acknowledgement and kissoff tones are recognized?

Charlie
