Just a thought to possibly avoid this in the future ..... there are a bunch
of freeware programs out there that automatically check your hard drive and
will let you know when it's time to get a new one ...... well before you
actually can lose data or it crashes.



A lot of that "freeware" stuff has spyware imbedded.  I think I would trust
ScanDisk for better results.
