I can think of other {better} methods to defeat systems.  That said, I
think the article was irresponsible because there is some truth to at
least three of the methods they list.

Watch this space for burglars to ask about TLM's and the kind of contacts
that can be defeated.  Most are not sophisticated enough to setup a GSM
cell, or get into the space to aim an IR beam at the PIR (which I highly
doubt the success rate is anywhere close to practical, just a proof of
concept by some idiot that wants to look smart).

I was halfway expecting the article to say to wrap yourself in Mylar.
That wouldn't work with dual-tech's!  You all *do* use dual-tech's
right??
