I often get into that same situation with electricians who do not align the=
ir boxes, wall plates and fixtures, square on.  I put everything up on the =
wall with a level. Everything on the ceiling is centered between walls or l=
ighting fixtures when possible. When the builder/homeowner ask why my stuff=
 is crooked, or not centered, I tell them to use a tape measure or level an=
d see who's straight and who's crooked.=20

It's really a tough life to lead ...... when you're such a perfectionist. (=
sigh)
