What's new?

Just another fire marshal implimenting more rules so that it appears that h=
e actually knows something about fire alarm systems and that he has somethi=
ng to do that looks like work.=20

It doesn't make any difference how much it cost the consumer or the install=
ing companys. If it saves the life of OOOOOONNNNNNNNNE person than it doesn=
't make any difference WHAT it cost. ( just so long as it looks like the AH=
J actually knows something about fire alarms and can pass the blame on to s=
omeone else when they screw up)

How come AHJ's don't have to take the NICET tests or have to have technical=
knowledge about fire alarms? Anyone ever meet an AHJ that actually had an=
y technical know how to be able to determine if a system was correctly wire=
d and connected properly? Any one ever hear of an AHJ who was prosecuted fo=
r failing to find a flaw in an alarm installation?

Me ether.
