I've used their stress sensors on boats. Never had a problem with
them. They take some time to adjust for sensitivity.  I can imagine
that on a flat roof, accumlating water, snow etc, could be a
fluctuation that couldn't be accommodated by sensitivity adjustment.
You can call and ask. I think the owner is still Austin Stack. It's a
relatively small company but it's been around for a looooong time.
