When I worked at Brinks we had a home damage "allowance", $3000 per quarter
was considered "acceptable".  Of course I was doing 2 jobs a day (40/mo *
3/mo=120 jobs/qtr = $25/job fuckup allowance.

When we damaged something we just called HQ and told them to come check it
out.  Things were repaired pretty quickly AFAIK.

I drilled through a fiberglass bar sink once :-)
