I didn't have a chap good answer for you either, and I think you are a
dumbass with your attitude too. You gonna come over to Az and bitch slap
me here too? Want an address? How about a bus ticket? I don't think its
all that far for you to come.

These people were thinking out loud and trying to help you. You owe them an
apology. Me not so much. I don't care.

As to your original question... No, there is not a good dialup solution for
video. Kalatel used to have some DVRs that were dial up capable, and they
sucked. On top of that they just were not very affordable for what they
did. Way back in the day when we thought 53k was fast I played with some
dial up for real time video feeds using a couple PCs, and they pretty much
sucked too.

Its possible. You will do a lot of work for a dissatisfied customer. If
the reason you are looking at this cheap approach is because the customer is
cheap, then just walk away.

The cheap DSL is the correct solution, and if you come in here and ask
nicely and don't threaten me and my friends I'll try to help you make it
work even if they don't have a static IP address. Of course if you already
know how then you don't need my or anybody else's help.

Another possible solution is long range wireless with patch or even
parabolic antennas if the parties are only a few miles apart and you can
achieve line of site. Trango Systems is the best provider for this type of
product, but its not cheap. If the customer asks you if there is a cheaper
wireless that will work then, again, just walk away.

Again lose the attitude and apologize and we will be more inclined to help
you in the future.
