Not sure how this would work with a standard system.  Perhaps like the
Visonic wireless stuff where the receiver is wired to a zone on the panel?
Seems like the way to do it, except for this little quote...

...So my hundreds of contacts are all on one zone?  That's gonna make
troubleshooting difficult.
