Are there reasons to prefer the Ademco 7845GSM with the DCID-EXT adapter
module over the Tellular radio TG-4?

I guess the main advantage would be Alarmnet integration?

Yes it will if you use the Honeywell DCID-EXT module and that assumes
your 7845GSM is the latest with the mini ECP connector

You can also use the TelGuard TG-1 or TG-4, and the Uplink 2550 and
2530
