I agree.
In this state it is pretty much decided for you. Unless it is CP-01 you
can't install it, even if it is just a panel swap, like for like. That means
new gear almost every time a panel is replaced (to keep CP-01 kosher). I
could see it if maybe you were looking for a DS panel or keypad to keep a
big system going a little longer, but on small jobs why bother?
