Which would give Jim a great opportunity to cry on the judge's shoulder and
ask for money:

"Your honor, I've just spent 16 hours on a Greyhound bus (or whatever) in
order to arrive in court on time as ordered, and I am ready to proceed.
Brink's has had over two weeks to prepare for this hearing -- a hearng
Brink's requested - and they should not be allowed to delay these
proceedings any further. A delay will cost me money for lodging, meals,
travel to and from court, and time off from work. I ask the court to deny
the continuance, but if you see fit to grant it, Brink's should be ordered
to pay any additional costs occasioned by the delay."
