all the so-called wireless cameras i've seen simply plug in to an outlet for
power... i don't think batteries would last long enough to be useful

as far as running wire goes... go to a decent hardware store in search of
long drill bits... canadian tire has 18" long spade bits for about $10-15...
of course this depends on the layout of your house (attic access, unfinished
basement, etc.)... they can easily turn an impossible job into a simple one

as far as the power goes... if you don't conveniently have an outlet near
where you want the camera... the power wire can be spliced with more wire...
as long as you're comfortable doing that
