Re: Olson's Lie

"You" may have pointed out something like this before, but you also
failed to remember my response. There are limiters employed to ensure
that even with "full input" from the Pilots, the rudder doesn't deflect
sufficiently to cause damaged to either the vertical stabilizer (that's
the "tall thingy" at the back of the plane) or the rudder servo (that's
the "thingy" that actually controls the movement of the rudder).

<snip> This has absolutely nothing to do with what happened at
Cranbrook or the subsequent flight testing (some of which I participated
in), the primary goal of which was to determine controllability factors
of the aircraft with a reverser deployed and investigate recovery
procedures in the unlikely event a similar circumstance occurred again.
The two accidents which Bass has decided to base his entire "Olson's
lie" on resulted from a catastrophic FAILURE of the rudder servo
mechanism. The cause of the failure has never been clearly established
but most likely points to "external forces" which in the case of the
aircraft entering a wake vortex would expose the control surfaces to
grossly abnormal aerodynamic loads.

In simple terms, Bass, I never "tried" anything. I wasn't pilot in
command or sitting anywhere near the cockpit.

You can now continue to dispense further dis-information to try and
"take the heat off" the fact that you've been caught providing pirated
software on your website.
