Re: employee tracking system?



There was a phone system that did something like that a while back, it would
track where you where and any calls for you would be routed to the nearest
extension...business system not res.

| Try contacting Olivetti. They had an "Active Badge" system in their
research
| lab in Cambridge UK in the 90's. No idea if they ever commercialised the
| system. It was IR based and worked very well. I went to a lecture on the
| system. Any member of staff could interrogate it over the web/lan and find
| out where someone was, if they were in a meeting, nearest phone extension
| number etc
