I can see a certain attraction to running an online business with a shopping
cart system for ordering and then have the merchandise drop shipped to the
customer. You may have to answer a number of tech support/product
application calls, handle a few returns and have the rest of the day to
count the money. The margin on each item is less because you do less to earn
that margin, but the overall profit, like any other business will depend not
only on the margin, but on the volume of sales.
