Let me help.
Having absolutely nothing to do with whatever has passed here
recently--between Rick and me and anyone else who was involved--you did
something several years ago that, on its face, was simply wrong. You
were rightfully nailed for doing that wrong thing at the time you did
it. Now you're attempting to use /me/ as a club to beat Rick about the
head, as if what is happening /now/ can somehow turn back the clock and
make what you did /then/ right.
It wasn't right. It isn't right. It will never be right. Even if Rick
and I meet in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and tear each other to
bloody pieces, it still won't be right.
To make it perfectly clear, it wouldn't matter who it was you had the
unfortunate encounter with back then--even if it were my worst
enemy--because it would still be wrong.

Just so we're clear, this has nothing to do with getting involved in an
internal dispute.
Instead, it has to do with the wrongness of using that internal dispute
for your own purpose, most especially when that purpose was to further
compound a wrong you had done previously.

Thanks.
