stick to the thread frank.  1. OP has 2 systems in the SAME bldg   2. using
different phone lines [so the cs op would know which system it was by the
caller id, so  even in your fictional scenario he would not "drive around
looking"]  3. cs alerts tech who goes out and looks at the panels in the
mech room 10 ft apart,  if he's too lazy to ask cs op which phone # reported
and changes the battery.  now go back to your counter, I hear your bell
ringing. :)
