Its a sop to Alan, he apparently believes that you can indulge in any sort
of anti-social behaviour as long as you announce it before hand. By adding
HTML on the subject line, the theory is probably that you have the choice to
ignore the post if you don't want to read or download HTML, and therefore
its acceptable to post these super sized messages that spool dozens or even
hundreds of other messages off servers before they can be read, which in
reality is why RLB has once again taken to this tactic, he will likely stop
doing it once he is satisfied that the offending posts are no longer showing
up on most newsservers when new people visit the group.
