Re: Looking for person

Your post reminds me it's time to cut the check for canteen books we
give to the characters in the local VA home (and if you've ever been in
a VA you know they are real characters) If you folks here think my
language is colorful you need to visit a VA. I'm a saint compared to
these guys. You should all visit a VA anyway and spend a little time
with some of the guys who have kept us safe. It's a funny thing but you
go to the VA to visit with and help vets but you end up leaving feeling
like they were the ones visiting you. They always make you smile, and
their jokes are raunchier than all holy hell.
Sad thing is the local VA recreation department has a budget of only
$300.00 per month and that generally gets split between upwards of 200
vets.
Without donations from the American Legion, Catholic War Vets, DAV, and
others these vets would have next to nothing to enjoy.
BTW, if helping a vet isn't cause enough remember that all donations
are tax deductible.
