MA1008LKDL vs MA1000E

What is the difference between those 2 Napco models?  They both appear
to have 6 burg. zones, and fire zones, built in dialer, etc.  I believe
that the 1000E is a newer model that may be supported by the newer
(windows) version of the software.  Similarly, what is the difference
of the 1008E and the 1000E?  What does ENB mean (come without a battery
as part of the package? (1008ENB)
