The easiest and cheapest way to accomplish this is to short the leads at one
end of the cable and put a volt/ohm meter at the other. Measuring
resistance, shorted you should be within the 1.0 ohm range (depending on the
legnth of the cable) and unshorted you should read infinity/OL, etc
depending on the meter used. However, if you must have a coax cable tester,
