In some defense of these poor idiots, until a few months ago I had no idea
that sprinklers worked like this. I mean, these are extremely simple systems
when you look closely, but to imagine that the flow of water is what sets
off the alarm, I would have never guessed that. The classic depiction of
sprinklers on TV and in the movies doesn't help, either.
