Re: Adding 5828v to Ademco Lynx-r Panel
If memory serves it not addressable, but I think you need the house id code.
I've never used one, but past discussions here actually talked me out of
installing one due to liimited range. It was also suggested to use the
transformer too..so I figured whats the point if I cant put it 40 feet away
from the main panel reciever and I still have to fish a power wire down the
wall to the nearest outlet I may as well just take the extra time an run a
line to a regular keypad.
Programming doesn't look all that bad, but if you screw the pooch anywhere
else in the programming your panel won't report to your CS properly and you
may not even know it.

| Crash, I have the installer code, but need to know what steps are involved
| to make the Lynx-r see the 5828v. After some further research I did find
| that I would need to have a House ID code and the 5828v would need to be
the
| same. I will need to check my panel and see, if it currently uses a House
| ID. However, I was looking for installation instructions for the 5828v. I
| wanted to know how complex it is to install this device before I purchase
| it.
