You know that the IEEE have a crack force of commandos that will come
along and stab you in your sleep for abusing unallocated MAC blocks? ;)

In all seriousness, this is just a way of "playing nice" with
IEEE
allocations - the problem with using an unalloced block like the fffffe
space... Is that lots of other people will no doubt have had the same
idea!

I guess it's the same as IP addresses - you can use pretty much anything
you like is you have a NAT router, but it's nicest to play by the rules,
and use the allocated space.

Hi Ian,

Obviously don't know what you need them for, but if you are looking for
a range to use just hijack "ff:ff:fe:nn:nn:nn"

No vendor's seem to use this at the moment ;-)
