Thanks Tony.

I like the idea of specifying the desired bitrate in the stream URL. I
guess
there might be quality issues (digital artifacts etc) if the tracks are
transcoded twice (for example OGG->MP3/192->MP3/128), so I like the
idea of
overriding the existing transcoder settings directly if you can find a way
to do it.
