problem playing ogg files on rio

when i select an album encoded in ogg, the rio only plays the first
track,when it goes to the next one, there is no audio. It seems to be
losing sync or something. The web page shows the correct track as
playing.
It can stay "playing" that second track even though is should
have
moved on to the third one. the timer may show the track is 7 mins long
even the song may only be four. It will randomly move onto another
track, say track 5 but still no audio.
