Hi Frank,

An example, If the selected House and unit switches are set for
"N3"
With the default settings. When the car is turned on it starts transmitting
the required X10 N3 ON code for the first two minutes, this gives you time
to start the car and drive out of the garage and away from the house. If
SW8
is turned on it then starts transmitting the X10 N3 OFF code straight away
after the two minute ON period. So when you actually arrive at the shops it
is sending an X10 N3 OFF all of the time. When you start the car after
shopping and head home it starts out sending the ON for the first two
minutes but then starts sending the OFF, so by the time you approach your
house the car is transmitting the OFF signal.
So the HA system sees a N3 ON as being the car is leaving and sees a N3 OFF
as the car arriving.

If SW8 is turned OFF, it then transmits the ON code for the first two
minutes and then enters a pseudo sleep period where it performs a slow
pulsating flash to indicate that it is still alive but it is not actually
sending anything. When you press the push button on the front i.e. you are
on your way home 1 or two houses away from your house, it will then start
sending the X10 N3 OFF code.
I added this RF Tx pause capability so that you don't have to drive around
the city sending X10 N3 OFF codes to other peoples HA installations. Not
they we have much of a following in AUS :(

Regards,

Neil Wrightson.
