Glad to hear you got it working - that address isn't actually a subnet mask
(although it's written like one) it's the "universal broadcast"
address that
will work for nay network settings.

If you are on a network that uses addresses like 192.168.1.x then you could
use a broadcast address of 192.168.1.255 to narrow things down a bit -
255.255.255.255 has a *much* broader scope, and is essentially a broadcast
to all networks. (don't worry though - internet routers don't pass these
broadcasts on!)
