Hi All,

Been up half the night flexing my UDP muscles trying to get my
touchscreen app talking to Xpl.

I'm happy to report that im half way there. I have my app sending out
heartbeat messages which get picked up by the hal, i havent bothered
with the config series of messages as the app has its own config
screen (but i probably will come back and sort this out later).

I can now send commands for turning on and off the x10 devices i have
configured in xplhal which on a side note is hours of fun. What i
can't seem to nail is getting my app to pick up broadcasted messages
(so i can check for incoming from the passive infrareds). I've tested
the app and it's definately correctly receiving messages on the
configured port it appears that Xpl isnt forwarding any messages to
the ip and port i have in my heartbeat. Is there a step i have
missed? from my understanding of the spec just the heartbeat should
be sufficient to tell xplhal to start broadcasting to my app.

Thanks in advance

Steve Noyce
