I've only got one network card!  According to cport, the old hub appears to
bind to 127.0.0.1, so maybe that's the problem...

I can't get this to work.  The installer suggests a strange path (as if the
project settings havn't been configured in .NET), and when it has installed
the hub (either to that path or to the one I give), it doesn't appear in
the
list of services.  Running the .exe from the command line doesn't work
either.
