Re: OSD Display - xPL Messages
Hi Neil
First Question:
Can anyone recommend a suitable VFD to use, I was thinking about a Noritake
Starter Kit. http://tinyurl.com/5wfwv.
They all look nice ;-).......Im assuming they use the same serial format as
the ones Ian wrote hia app for so any of them should be ok if this is the
case.......
Second Question:
>Can the OSD be split, i.e. top half has one set of data, bottom half
has
another sort of like this
I *think* you would have to update the whole screen each time if using the
vfdosd currently...I just tried sending a message to row 2 and it came up
on
row 1 ;-(.........
Third Question:
Is there a real time clock app?
Not sure........I display the time every ten minutes or use my remote to
trigger a display of the time.........

Now I've got xPL pretty much doing everything I think I can get it to do
with the devices I have, I want to get a display up and running.
I have a few mss100's and so intend making a networked serial display.
Which
I know a few of have already done.

This one: KGU180X32D-K612A4-CA 180x32 $111 Eu96 £67
Would that work? Or is there a better one to go for?
Second Question:
