Yep - we put them in the all users application data area so they can be
easily shared by any number of xPL apps running on the host PC.

Indeed - that's all you need to do.

The Manager will search the plugins directory and attempt to load any
XML files it finds.

The way we distribute plugins to xPLHal users is as follows:

When you click Help -> Update Plug-in Library in xPLHal Manager, a
master list of all available plug-ins is downloaded from one of a number
of central servers.

You then just select the ones you want, click OK, and your chosen
plug-ins will be downloaded/updated from their respective vendor's web
site.

If you want to make your own plug-in available to all xPLHal users, just
upload it to a web server somewhere and let us have the URL to the XML
file - this will then be added to the master list.
