Hi Mal,
The mobo boots pxelinux (basically a linux bootstrap) via tftp and then
loads a DOS floppy image
The dos floppy starts tcpip, attaches to a network share, creates a large
ramdrive, and then copies a win98 image (actually a number of files with
the
main one being a windows compressed drive image) to the ramdrive, imports a
few registry changes (this allows the same image to be used to boot
multiple
pc's) and starts win98...
The image is created on a standard pc to start with (identical to the
diskless pc) but you can then modify it and write back the image from
ramdrive to the network share so it can be tailored to the specific pc
(e.g.
touchscreen, webcam etc)
