RE: Possible pauses with xPLHAL
Wait a sec...
What processing is xplhal doing on the message? If xplhal is only being
used to configure the devcom app, then try this:
Start xpldevcom, configure as required
Confirm messages are being displayed as expected
Stop the xplhal service
What happens now? Do you still have messages displayed - and more
importantly, is the pause still evident?

OK,
Done the below suggestion and it still pauses. I used the VB6 HUB and
just to prove that the xPLHAL hub is stopped, if I kill the VBHUB my
display stops updating. When I restart the VBHUB the display starts to
display the time again.
