Indeed it was.. and there was no attempt to be factually accurate either
- plus the explanations clearly shows a deep rooted misunderstanding
about xAP and it's methodologies. Hence perhaps the reasoning to use xPL
as a 'lite' alternative. xPL was positioned as an easy to implement
adaption of xAP that satisfied the needs of the home enthusiasts that
were wanting to implement real HA solutions now.

But I am not here to engage in a slanging match. I use both xAP and xPL
although I choose to develop in xAP as it suits my needs better. Both
can co-exist and interoperate with a little bit of scripting should you
wish to cherrypick the best solutions from each. The xAP Yahoo group
will choose to sell xAP and the xPL group will choose to sell xPL, and
quite rightly so, that after all that is the lists purpose. What I hope
we will try and do on the xAP list is to be professional & factually
accurate about any comparison at least. Should you wish to get the xAP
perspective Neil (anyone) then drop on by the xAP Yahoo group and ask
, it's not appropriate to persue the 'xAP sell' here.

Kevin
