I recall a lot of people complaining about the PSUs on the DDARs
blocking X10 signals - the usual solution is to use an X10 filter. Don't
know US suppliers myself (I am in Scotland), but I believe that
smarthome: http://www.smarthome.com/x10troubleshoot.html
would do the
trick.

It's working now. The reboot must have helped. I still had to
kill/restart the service and the receiver a couple of times but it's
playing! Thanks.
