Is there a way of doing a slideshow?

Not quite. When in pictures (or movies) you press 'full' on the
remote to toggle between the 3 views and it stays in that view until
rebooted (or full pressed to change view again). The default is
what's used after a reboot.

If you click 'ok' on a picture then the picture go's full screen and
you can either press exit to return to the menu view or use ch+/ch-
to move thru the pictures in the current folder (or all pictures if
in view 'A').

To aid selection of pictures you can assign a unique image to use
for a folder image (as opposed to the standard picture of a folder).
