Hi all,
Have just published latest version at www.xplhal.com
Changes are:
A) major bug fix in Rio/DDAR playback (it could crash due to an error in
the
calculation of bytes left to read from file due to an undocumented feature
[bug!])
B) bug fix in scanner (if there were mutliple tracks from different albums
in a single folder they could be assigned the wrong album if there were
more
2 or more tracks for the same album)
C) added function to enable recording of shoutcast streams
Those on a recent version need to update xplrionet.exe and extract the
latest website
(those using an alternative web interface need record_stop.gif and
record_start.gif and add the 2 new items in web.txt to their web.xml and
add
{record} to web pages, or wait for an update from the author)
To enable recording add the following line to streams.xml
<saveto path="c:\my path\" artist="Unknown"
album="Shoutcasts"
title="{stream}" genre="Other" auto="n" />
Path= needs to be set to a valid full path to store recordings (e.g.
path="c:\shoutcasts\")
Artist=, Album=, Title= are values for the ID3v1 tag (Use {stream} to make
it the stream name from streams.xml)
Genre= is the genre to use (must be a valid ID3v1 genre, else it will
default to Other)
Auto= determines if the track should be automatically added to the database
for immediate playback once recording has ceased
If auto="n" but the path is within the scanner's scope they will
get added
when the scanner runs. So if you want to rename/edit id3 tag(s) before
adding to database ensure path is outside scope of scanner and then move
them.
If you combine {stream} and auto="y" (default is n) then the tag
using
{stream} will be first 19 chars of stream name, and a space, and
hhmmssddmm)
Filenames are always the "full stream name_hhmmssddmmyy.mp3"
Tags always truncate to 30 chars
Regards
Tony
