RE: XML DotNetNuke

Normally the string is

Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Trusted_Connection=Yes;Persist Security
Info=True;Initial Catalog=xQL;Data Source=<Server Name>
or
Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Password=xql;Persist Security Info=True;User
ID=xql;Initial Catalog=xQL;Data Source=<Server Name>

If that doesn't work for you this might

Goto Data Source (OBDC) in Control Panel/Administrator Tools then set up a
ODBC source that points at the database and set the initial catalogue to
the correct database, then have

DSN=<Name of you newly created data source>

Yes....

Just been doing a bit of searching, I will try the following connection
string tonight and see what happens:

Provider=SQLOLEDB;Server=<IP ADDRESS>;Database=xQL;uid=xql;pwd=xql;

it's using database instead of initial catalog..

I'll let you know how I get on....

Thanks

Neil

Have you created an odbc data connection in odbc in control panel?
