Could be an issue of some sort I guess.
I load mine via rc.sysinit (dodgy, given the problems if you scr@w the
file), as last 3 lines:
ifconfig lo up
/var/hack/xplhub &
/var/hack/tivoosd lounge &
Both files have rights of rwxr-xr-x
